Cover crops are planted to protect and enrich the soil, rather than for sale. They are used where the soil would otherwise be bare. They can improve soil health, increase water infiltration, and enhance climate resilience on farms. The WCCC is a networking organization, our mission is to facilitate and enhance communication and collaboration, promoting the successful adoption of cover cropping in Western U.S. agricultural systems.
